WOW!! I passed 100!

Grand update

Mostly pictures, and a little bragging on Grandma's part!

Our 'crown prince' Kolby received two awards at school! He received awards for the most fluent reader and for the outstanding student! Way to go, Buddy! We sure love you!

And our Miss Baylee May, has also been showing off her learning skills. She received an award for most fluent in Spanish (which probably explains why her mom can't understand her most of the time!) and an award for art! Good job, BayBay!! We love you!

Our Taylor girl should get an award for most energetic! She runs and plays all day long! What a cutie! She loves to go on walks with her mom and Sissy, their 3-legged dog.

Kolby and Baylee prefer to stop and play in what little snow is left. Don't worry, you live in Wyoming...there will be plenty more!

Has not been all that happy this week. She has been battling some ear troubles again.

Abbie makes us laugh on a daily basis! What a silly girl our Peaches is!

She tends to repeat things she hears and one of her more funny moments came this week when her dad went outside and noticed that someone had taken the Jack o'lanterns off their porch and smashed them in the street. Abbie came outside and saw that the pumpkins were missing and right out of her sweet little mouth came the words: "Who the HELL stole our pumpkins!" Her parents just stared at her and wondered where she heard that word from. Abbie let them know she learned it from her mommy! HAHAHA!! I know I shouldn't laugh, but this grandma is sure enjoying the memories of going through the same thing with my children!

"Sharing" breakfast with Dad. Is it just me, or do they look like vultures circling road kill.... :-) Oh, did I forget to tell you, daddy was enjoying some leftover chocolate pudding for breakfast! No wonder they were begging!

Papa has been enjoying his time reading stories to the grands while helping out while he's out of work.

Trick or Treat...

Abbie had to do most of the 'gutting' of the pumpkins. Kallie hated it!

The Shoopman grands missed their school parties because school was cancelled because of all the snow at their house and I didn't get any pictures of them in their costumes because.... well, I don't know why.... The parents didn't send any. (Who me...bitter?? NO....) Last year they had to dress them up after Halloween to send pictures too.... Why not do it while they are getting ready to go?? It would be so much easier. I know....I'm a very demanding Grandma.

Since handsome hubby has been unemployed for a month now, he is taking anything that comes along that offers a little money and is still legal. So....he agreed to go to California to be mounted security for a 3-day concert. Little did he know he would be clicking his red shoes together desperately wishing himself back home! The concert turned out to be THE PHISH Halloween 3-day Concert in Indio, CA.

Hubby was mostly in charge of keeping the fire lanes clear, directing party-goers to where they needed to be, and just keeping an eye on things. He firmed up some muscles spending 12 hour shifts in the saddle!

A weekend of pot, Frisbee, pot, breakfast burritos, pot, and strange and freakish costumes! Hubby is convinced he is going to have to air his saddle and pad out for MONTHS to get all the pot smell out of it!! I'm thinking both he and 'Chief' may need some therapy!

Bored and lonely....

This week has been busy and lonely. Hubby has been in Wyoming looking for work and hunting for elk. Didn't find either one. Bummer. He did land a temporary job though. I'll post about it later.

Grands have been wonderful (as usual). The Shoopman grands sure enjoyed having Papa there with them for awhile. They had their Primary Program at church yesterday and did an awesome job. Robin is feeling better and Travis is back to his normal activities of doing way too much and working way too hard!

They have been getting ready for Halloween and painted some pumpkins the other day.

I have to share a funny Taylor story with you. She was playing in the bathroom and knocked something off the counter and it hit her arm. So she ran out and told her mom, "Mom, your house is falling on me!" What a nut! She sure makes a cute Eeyore!

I guess Kolby thought it was too noisy in the truck for his liking.

The Stuckis have been battling upset tummies and flu bugs at their house. Maybe Papa will have to go visit them and take care of them for awhile. Kallie has been having some pretty funny conversations lately. She has imaginary friends named Woody and Jessie (watch a little Toy Story do we?) and has other 'pretend friends' who live in the dungeon (but it's okay, they like it there!). She was very sad one day and her mom asked her what was the matter. She told her that Jessie didn't want to play with her, and she said, well who said she doesn't want to play with you? and Kallie said, Woody told her that Jessie didn't want to play with her. She was very sad about the whole thing too! Imaginary drama! Oh my!

Tama ran a 10K race and did amazing! She was even smiling after it was over! She trained hard and battled an upset tummy all week and STILL managed to run the entire way without walking or stopping! She even had enough energy to sprint at the end! We are very proud of her!

Amber has been pretty sick with swine flu at our house. Sorry, no pictures to share. She would hurt me if I did! She is on the mend now, but still not getting over the cough (She has never had healthy lungs) . She is going back to the dr. today to see about some more meds. It's always something....

Other than that, all is well at our house. I hope my hubby will find a job soon and I REALLY hope it will be one in Arizona! The news is very grim however. I heard on the radio this morning that there are 47,000 (yes THOUSAND) construction workers out of work in Arizona in the last six months. So we just keep on keepin' on and something will turn our way....eventually.

Just wanted to share a random picture. Now WHY would anyone want to play high school football in Wyoming?? This was from a game TWO WEEKS AGO!

They ended up getting 8 inches of snow.
