Random Ramblings

Happy Weekend! I am so ready for the three day weekend! My boss just got back from Australia so work has slowed down somewhat which is good. I'm glad she had a good trip. It sounds like it was productive for business and she brought me a boomerang!

Tama sent me a video of Kallie today that is so cute! She arranges all the princesses up in a circle and sings Ring around the rosie, and the she pushes them all over so they "all fall down". What a nut!

Baylee is fishing and camping with just her daddy. She was very excited last night that she got to go with daddy all by herself. Kolby wasn't very happy about it but he had to go to school today. Robin was happy to just have Taylor while Kolby was in school. Once he gets home, they are heading to the lake to meet up with Travis and Baylee for some weekend fun.

Abbie got accepted to the other preschool so she is attending two preschools this year. Her regular one is M,W,F mornings and this new one, which she is in as a peer integration meets on T, TH afternoons. The new one helps children with disabilities and puts some 'normal' kids in to integrate them so it's pretty cool and I'm glad Abbie will get to go and be involved and learn about other kids who may have problems. It's good to learn tolerance and patience.

Blaine is taking the scouts to the lava caves this weekend. Which means Amber, Teri and I will be going to the movie tonight! That's what we do when they go camping. Now we get to take Masiu with us since he is too little to go camping with the scouts. For those of you who don't know her, Teri is another child we have seemed to adopt into our family. We first met her when she was Amber's Visiting Teacher in the singles ward when we lived in North Phoenix. Then we moved to Queen Creek and Teri returned to Hawaii. Teri got married and moved to Queen Creek with her new husband and is now in our ward. Her husband, Hainite (pronounced 'huh-knee-tay') is a rugby player and is the assistant scoutmaster with Blaine. They have the cutest little baby named Masiu (pronounced 'muh-see-oo'). Yes, they are Tongan. Their last name is Aholelei ('ah-hoe-lay-lay'). Okay, now let's all say it together... Hainite, Teri, and Masiu Aholelei... very good! :-) Anyway, I love to be Masiu's surrogate grandma since his other grandmas live in Tonga and Hawaii.

We had another wicked monsoon last night. They closed the airport and the news said there were over 30,000 people without power this morning! They said there were wind gusts up to 90 mph! Something I don't think they have ever seen in Phoenix before. There are a lot of trees blown over and I'm sure the insurance companies have been very busy today!

Have an awesome weekend!!
