So Friday I got home early in the day (4:00 p.m.!) and just when I was setting up my computer to do some work, Stephanie called and said, "I have to take Wade to the hospital, can you come take the kids?" OF COURSE! So we haul out and get there in record time. Wade was sick all day and finally let Steph call the doc who told her to take him straight to the ER. So we went and gathered McKenna from the neighbor, picked Bryce up from his school and hung out at their house. McKenna is such a fun girl! She even got Uncle Blaine to watch Hannah Montana with her!
Steph came home about 10 and said they were keeping Wade overnight to try and find out what is wrong (besides the fact he has cancer). So we came home and made a plan to pick the kids up for the day the next morning.
Saturday, we got up and went to Wade and Stephs to gather up the kids. I also made Steph give me her laundry to take with me so I could do something for her. The kids were so good! We set up the computer for Bryce. He loves to play games on the computer. He was very cautious of Gypsy to start with, but they quickly became good friends. He is fascinated by the fish tank, but he likes to put things in with the fish. Like blocks (about 12), little plastic animals (a tiger and giraffe now reside in the tank) and just about anything else he can get in there before we can catch him! He ate several waffles, and learned that Aunt Kathy is more lax than his mom on the amount of chocolate milk he can have! I think he had fun out here!
We watched conference and played with the kids. McKenna is hysterical! She is quite the storyteller! Oh and I don't think I've ever met a bigger drama queen!! Every time she asked if we had something and we didn't, it was "that's sad..." said with a total ten year old attitude!
After conference we ventured to Wal-mart. We got our groceries, got Kenna a bead set to keep her busy, and got Bryce a little truck. They were very well behaved. The hospital decided to keep Wade another night and try to do some pain management so Steph called and said she would meet us at her house at bedtime. So we took the kids home later that night.
On the way to Mesa, Kenna was jabbering and I told her she should be a lawyer when she grows up cause she likes to debate and argue so much! She said, "No way. Lawyers are bad... no one likes them. I want to be an actress and singer and maybe someday I will play a lawyer in a movie." so I said, what about a doctor then? Again, "No way! They have to go to school way too long and see blood and sometimes get thrown up on!" We laughed all the way to their house! She also told us how lucky we are to live all the way out in Queen Creek and not in Mesa where it is so hot! yeah, it's all of about 15 miles away!
Switching gears now.... I was talking to Kallie and Abbie on speaker phone this week and I call Abbie "Peaches" as a nickname, and Kallie said, "I a peach, Mom a peach, Abbie a peach" I guess they should all be "Peaches".
I think Kallie needs to go back to speech therapy for some remedial help though. Lately she has been saying some things that could really make people wonder what goes on at the Stucki household. Her dad tells her to pull up her britches. But when Kallie says her britches are falling down, she doesn't quite get the "r" sound in there! Ooops! Then they were watching Space Chimps and again, she can't quite pronounce "Chimps" and says "Pimps". I'm not sure what a Space Pimp is but I hope his "b(r)itches" don't fall down....
Abbie is too funny too. She said she was going to marry her daddy but then said, "wait, he's married to mommy. I'll marry Papa instead". So then Kallie said she would marry grandma! Those girls keep you on your toes!
The Shoopman grands got a new puppy this weekend. It is an Australian Shepherd and they named him Boots. He looks like a good dog.
We have a lot going on this week. Tuesday Baylee is having her tonsils and adenoids out and Friday Kallie is having her ovaries and appendix out. Saturday is Blaine's 48th birthday, but we will both be gone. He will be in Tucson for a superintendent retreat and I will be in Idaho helping with Kallie.
Sorry no pictures today, but my kids are slacking on sending them to me! I guess they have a life or something....
Until next time.... keep your face to the sun and bloom where you're planted!!

Oh my. Your grandkids crack me up. Don't you love the way kids minds work at that age? Sean and Erin do the same thing. Once Sean had gotten out of his carseat for the millionth time and Jeff told him that he better get back in or the cops behind them were going to get little Seany in trouble and Sean's only response was "But Dad...Cops are people too!" what that means I have no idea but it made me laugh out loud! Love you bunches!
