I need to be better at this journaling thing! Today was a great day. Blaine got up this morning and went to scope out the camping/canoeing spot for scouts next weekend. While he was gone, I went to the swap meet and found a few good deals.
Our little next door neighbor boy, Bryce, was baptized today and we went to his baptism. It was very nice and the spirit was very strong! We are proud of Bryce and his choice to live the gospel.
We were talking to Travis the other day on the phone and he was driving down the road in the truck, Robin sleeping by his side, the kids in the back seat doing what kids do. When all of the sudden he sees Taylor tapping her mom on the shoulder! Little Houdini had escaped from her car seat and managed to get completely out of it without even unhooking any of the straps! They pulled over and got her back into the seat and all was well. What a kid!
Kolby and Baylee had their first T-ball games this week. Robin sent us videos of them playing their spots and it was great to watch. I can't wait to see them!
Karlo has been gone to a scout camporee the last few days and Tama has had the trials of staying home with the girls. Today was a good thing Karlo came home as I'm not sure if Tama could take another day without his help!
Kallie was naughty today. I was talking to her on the phone and I said, "are you naughty?" and she replied, "Yep, I naughty, grandma" I had to laugh at her honesty. Then she and Abbie got into a fight over something and both ended up in time out in their rooms. Kallie got to come out first and went with her mom to get Abbie out. Tama was explaining to Abbie why she was in time out and that she had to be a good girl when Kallie was repeating all the instructions to Abbie like she was in charge. Tama told her to "stay out of it" and Kallie told her mom, "you stay out of it, mom". Yup, you guessed it, back to time out for that one!
She has been such a stinker today. From telling her mom "let my go!" and running off, to getting a swat on the behind and telling her mom in a very dejected tone, "you spank my bum, mom?" to more or less say, "what did you just do to me?" I think it's a good thing she went to bed shortly afterward!
Abbie had a rough day as well. She had a lot of issues with her pants staying up today and she kept pulling them up to her arm pits. Finally, they were all outside picking strawberries from the garden and Abbie was going in the house, when Tama heard her scream, so she ran in to see what was the matter and there stood Abbie with her arms full of strawberries and her pants down around her ankles! Abbie gets very frustrated very easily. She must get it from her dad I think!
Anyway, it was a good day. A lot of funny things happened and we had a good day. I hope you did too!
