What the Grands have been up to...

Kolby has been playing with puppies....

Baylee has been perfecting her pirate look....

Taylor has been working on her baking skills....

Abbie and Kallie have gone incognito.... (who are these children??)

Kolby has been playing outside .... (when there isn't SNOW!)

Baylee has been loving on puppies....

and Taylor has been holding court.... (it's hard being a princess!)

Baylee WON a Young Author's Award at school!! She can tell some pretty amazing stories! Good job, Baylee!!

Kallie lost her first tooth! The dentist said it is rare to loose them at 3 years old, but her permanent one is right behind it. The other bottom one is ready to fall out as well. Kallie has already proven she is a rare and miraculous child so we are not too surprised.... (see her 'window' on the bottom?)

Abbie and Kallie had a sleep over and wanted to sleep on the stairs....

Luckily, Grandma convinced them the bed would be much more comfortable!

Until next time.... keep your face to the sun and bloom where you're planted!!

Just my thoughts

Okay, here is my disclaimer...the following thoughts are my opinion and I am thankful for those who have served and are serving our country to give me the right and protect my freedom to state my opinion.... Okay? okay! :-)

I think I may actually finally be glad about living in Idaho....
The reason: Idaho has filed suit against the federal government over this health care bill. The Idaho state government is willing to fight. They are willing to fight for the rights of the people to not be FORCED to purchase government mandated insurance. This is SOCIALIZED MEDICINE plain and simple! I read that after the news came out about Idaho and 12 other states filing suit, that as many as 25 other states want to follow and do the same! Now, I ask you.... Does that sound like a nation who wants this hokie healthcare reform? I didn't think so! Right now it doesn't appear that the American people are being listened to at all. I admit, I surf the internet waaaayyy too much but I have seen and heard TONS of people saying the same thing.... This healthcare reform is not good for our country! BUT.... our fearless leader and his cronies aren't listening to what the people want. I think, at this point, it isn't about healthcare anymore, it's all about politics.... Obama wants to win. In my opinion....(disclaimer--remember?) He is arrogant and believes he can make America do whatever he wants.

Besides the healthcare bill itself, I was especially bothered by the fact that the Federal Government rushed it through and worked on the Sabbath to get it passed. Just to get the vote. Now why couldn't they wait until Monday to vote? Heaven knows they don't worry about getting in a hurry over other things! To me it seems like there was no respect whatsoever for Sunday, or for God. What was this country founded on?? I believe our founding fathers are rolling in their graves over the state of the union these days! We all need to PRAY..... a lot!! And we need to turn to our religious leaders and follow their counsel. Be prepared for the times that are coming...get our homes in order.

I am sure (at least I hope so anyway) that we will be rid of Obama after one term but I think it is going to take alot more time and effort to get rid of the bad effects that he is putting into place and that this healthcare bill will be bringing. (remember....disclaimer....at the top of this page....these are MY opinions....you can counter them on your own blog if you want)

I read a funny bumper sticker awhile back that simply said, "Pray for Obama" "Psalms 109:8" Being curious, I looked it up...

"Let his days be few; and let another take his office."
I totally agree....

Our favorite grandson celebrated a birthday!!

Eight years ago, I became a grandma. It has been the highlight of my life! I LOVE being a grandma!!

Kolby was our first grandchild and has been the ONLY grandson for 8 long years. He is thrilled to FINALLY be getting a boy cousin thanks to Uncle Karlo and Aunt Tama! His words when he found out they are having a boy were "YES!! Finally! I won't be the only freakin' boy in this family!" What a funny kid!

Don't get me wrong, he enjoys his sisters and girl cousins very much and loves to play with them. But sometimes, they can get kind of 'mushy'.

And they talk a lot, so he has to 'block them out once in awhile.

A happier boy, I've never seen! He is happy most all the time. He knows how to have fun and make everyone laugh. He gets that gift from his dad. In fact, if I didn't know better, I would swear he was a clone of his dad. He is so much like him in looks, actions, personality. Everything! What a lucky mom he has to have a boy like Travis!

He loves to play outside and his favorite thing to do is to drive! He loves to drive the tractor, his go-cart, the blazer (yes, his dad let's him drive it!), and operate the skid steer! His dad says he can run the skid steer better than most of his hired help at the barn! Must have something to do with the fact his dad has had him on one since before he could walk!

He is a very handsome boy and a great student! He has already received awards at school for his academic excellence! What a smart boy!

He takes great care of his sisters and looks out for them. He is a great big brother!

He's a great fisherman! He has a ton of patience and will wait as long as it takes to catch the big one!

He is a deep thinker! He can come up with some pretty interesting questions at times. We sure love this boy and hope he had a great birthday!!
We love you, Kolby!!
